What are the chances of a neutered dog being able to still impregnate another dog?
I have looked and looked and cannot find the percentages. I know in humans there is a chance a man can still get a woman pregnant, but what about dogs? I have a neutered male and a female who is not spayed, and she is showing pregnancy symptoms. I just wondered if anyone out there knows the percentage of failed neuterings? And no, my female has never gotten loose or been around any other dogs.
I am going to get her spayed, but I wanted to wait until she was 2 and done filling out, anyway my male is neutered and she is never around any other dogs or loose, so I figured it wouldnt hurt to wait.
Thanks to the people with decent answers explaining the difference between vasectomy and a neutered dog, and about false pregnancy. I am sure that is what is going on, but I am taking her to the vet soon anyway.

A neutered male dog doesn't have testicles...there is no possibility.
A man who has had a vasectomy still has his testicles but the line between them and his penis is cut which is why it is still possible for him to impregnate a woman.

I don't know the percentages, but the chances are your b*tch is having a false pregnancy.
It can happen about 2 months after the heat, they can show all, or some of the symptoms of pregnancy, only difference is they don't have any puppies.
My Lab had a false pregnancy and developed mastitis and needed to see the vet for treatment.

as far as i know it is completely different, A dogs bits are completely removed so as far as i was aware they produce no sperm, but in the human case there is still a chance because they haven't been removed. Once you have ur dog neutured i think there is a nill chance. Is there a chance shes been in the company of a dog that could of got her pregnant?

Male humans don't have their testes removed. They have vasectomies. Dogs have their entire testicle removed, making it impossible to store semen. A neutered dog will not impregnate a b*tch.
