What do you think of this scenario

Question

I think I have figured out what's going on with Russia and Georgia. All of our focus was on Iran with their nukes. Russia backs Iran. So Russia took ALL our attention off Iran and put it on Georgia. Then they expect us to go to Georgia and when we do. Iran will launch a nuke at us. Russia and Iran are both plotting this to take down the west.

 Do you think this is possible?

Iran so far only has weapons designed to hit Israel, so no. Iran launching a strike at Baghdad killing most our forces there is a lot more plausible.

Iran would first have to have a nuclear arsenal (they don't), and a delivery system (which they don't have, either).

Thus, the scenario is not very likely. However, Russia can re-take the former Soviet state of Georgia, and there is little we can do at present due to over-extended troop commitments.

Iran is not going to launch anything without evaporating and they with everyone else knows it.  They can't even begin to fuel a missle without the Israelis knowing it.  Not going to happen.  The inter-relationship you mentioned, however, is quite correct.  It would matter if we had some diplomatic relations with Iran but, thankfully, we don't.

I think they have a business relationship, but it hasn't gotten to the level you're thinking of.  Could get there, just not yet.
