Paracetamols is the same as acetaminophen in the US.
Taking 5/day can be dangerous, but it depends on the dosage. If these 5 are 500 mg tablets or capsules, then it can be unhealthy.
Acetaminophen can severely damage your liver. Without the liver, toxins will build up in your bloodstream, clotting factors and protein production may be impaired and you can have hepatitis (general inflammation of the liver, not the viral infection).
If you drink alcohol or take other medications that put stress on the liver (statins for lowering cholesterol, for example), the effect of a big paracetamol dose can be worse.
Best thing to do is check the doseage information on the bottle and follow it closely.
For inflammation or fever, you can alternate paracetamol with ibuprofen. This will keep you from taking too much paracetamol in one day.
