32 bit vs 64 bit laptop
is it better to get a 64 bit laptop (with 4gb of memory) or a 3gb 32 bit?
isnt 4gb the minimum to run the 64 bit so wont it be slower that than the 32 bit with plenty of 3gb memory

Get the 64-bit. A 64-bit operating system can handle more than 4GB of RAM; a 32-bit OS can't address more than about 3.3GB of RAM, so any RAM above that is basically going to waste. It won't be slower.
A 64-bit version of Windows runs 32-bit programs perfectly fine through WOW64. True, 64-bit OS's have more issues with drivers, but if you buy the laptop from an OEM, all drivers should be provided.

64 bit wil run faster with the programs that are gesigned for it, but there is hardly any that are. There are many problems and driver issues with it right now so go with the 32 and install 64 later.

Go 32 bit... some if not most applications or games will not run in a 64 bit environment.

64 bit is unstable it runs faster and opens things faster but id rather go for 32 bit
