Should I Get a Wii or PS3: I can't get both.

If you have an HDTV, get a ps3. If you have a regular tv, get the wii. Then again, there are a lot of games on ps3 that won't be available on wii. And vice versa. I personally exclusively play xbox 360 while my wii gathers dust. I bought the ps3 the first time it came out and I was actually offended at how over hyped it was, even though it was only barely better in graphics than the 360 (but with slower framerates) as well as an uncomfortable controller and no HD cables (for a system that claimed to have the best graphics). Get a wii because you will get what you are expecting. I returned my ps3 because the week after it was released, you couldn't GIVE them away on ebay.

It all depends on what you want.

PS3 has more powerful hardware and has thus generally prettier graphics.You'll get access to games like MotorStorm and Resistance: Fall of Man.

Wii has less impressive graphics but has more original gameplay and of course, you get access to games like Zelda and Mario.

Then again, we know that PS3 will be a certain value for the next few years to come, while the WII might be a passing fad.

In short, you want graphics and system power, get a PS3

you want fun and original gameplay and you don't mind less impressive graphics, get a WII.

Personnally, I have both, and I prefer the WII just slightly over the PS3

It depends on what you want.

1) Do you want Gameplay?

2) Do you want graphics?

3) Do you want multiplayer fun?

4) Do you want a BluRay Player?

if you answered Yes for 1 and 3, i suggest getting the Wii.

If you wanswered Yes for 2 and 4, I suggest a PS3

My reasons is that, from my experience, Both systems are great, but for different reasons. The Wii as numerous party type games that you can play with family and friends for HOURS and it also has a few games you can enjoy by yourself. The PS3 however, is great for high quality graphics and alot of single player games, not alot of muliplayer capabilities on it. The PS3 is also a VERY cheap BluRay player, so if you have a HD TV you may enjoy that feature.

I have a Wii and it is so cool and fun when you first get it but the graphics are kinda crap like a ps2 and i think it is better for kids on the other hand my firend had a ps3 and the graphics are great and there are a lot of games to choose from and it has blu-ray which is awsome but i would recomend a xbox 360 if you are into multiplayer online games i just brough an xbox 360 about 3 months ago and it is great for multiplayer.

First, if u have a HD tv and like watching blue ray movies, get the ps3. The wii is more casual gaming that may get boring after a short time. ps3 is for long term serious gamers....my advice would be PS3 hands down!

the ps3 isnt the best online game play. but the wii is a better online play. ppl talk about the wii.. but you shood ask urself if anyone really talks about the ps3. the only thing wrong with wii is that there isnt any really FUN ADULT games... they're too kiddy

I would get a wii because even though its a video game where you are still on front of the tv and not out playing sport getting fit it gives you that feel and it actually does make you exercise whereas with a ps u just sit in front of it. Not to mention wii games and console are cheaper
