what is better nintendo ds or nintendo ds lite?

The DS lite is the better choice as it was released after the original ds and nintendo made several improvements during that time.

- it's lighter

- better screen, brighter display

- improved battery life

- improved wireless range and reliability

- relocated mic (from bottom left of the original ds to center on the ds lite) for better voice chat

- improved hinges for better durability

- relocated start and select buttons for easier use

- relocated power, battery and sleep lights to increase visiblility (these were harder to see on the original ds when the lid was closed because of their location)

- lighter and more efficient battery charger

- more sleek design (of course it looks cooler!)

Get a DS Lite. The hinges that connect the two screens are better reinforced, has different light levels, and is more compact. The DS, on the other hand, has very bad hinges that look like it can break off easily, is bulkier, and only has one light level, which is darker than the DS Lite's lowest light level.

Smaller and better in the hand...

ok, the ds lite is better because you can adjust the light settings, its smaller and ou can get skins for it. overall they are the same thing accept for what ive said. take that from a 14 yr old game finatic who owns a nintendo ds
