Is there a way to turn off the tip, spell checker, and other reminders on YA?
These things are as annoying as the Clippy character that Microsoft included with Windoze. The red underlining is plenty, thank you. I don't need a nanny looking over my shoulder telling me I have a lot of punctuation or a lot of caps on in my questions or answers. Most likely, I PUT THEM THERE ON PURPOSE.

Unfortunately, no. The Control Freak talk balloon can't be forced away. This really pisses me off, especially since it has the annoying habbit of saying that i've misspelled a word before i've finished typing it.

The worst thing about it is that the moment you make an error, even before you can correct, Mr. Annoying- As-Hell Popup is right on your keester, to tell you to go to the spell check,

no. You can click the "X" when it comes up, but other then that, no way to keep it from ever coming up
