Do Muslims have a personal relationship with God?

Or is Islam a religion only?

Update:

Mocha: Christians believe Jesus is God. We believe He is the only Way, not just a middle man

is a religion but they believe in God also...i don't know how personal they are but you have the Muslims who are into there aspect of there religion to the T

Muslims do not have a faith in God more than Christians do...you cannot say that because you do not know or live with any Christian to say you believe more

just because a Muslim prays 5 times a day that doesn't really mean anything...i think deep down you have to really believe and not think that if you don't pray 5 times God will not accept you

Just like saying you dont have to go to church for God to love you...if you have him in your heart and believe in his existence then you are a true believer

don't pray because it thinks it saves you, you will have to answer to God and God knows who u really are

The relationship throughout the quran is more of a master-slave relationship. Many muslims call themselves the slaves of god. The Christian relationship throughout the NT (NOT the OT) is like between a husband and wife.

Muslims worship god more than most Christians (muslims pray 5 times a day and they have to follow a specific ritual before and during the prayer).

Muslims live in fear of god more than most Christians.

Muslims have faith in god more than most Christians, as few muslims will contemplate the possibility of even thinking god might not existing.

Well considering we pray 5 times a day and are always supplicating and asking for forgiveness, yea.

As a Muslim, God tops everything; we love no one more than God.

No. If you read the Koran you'll see that it explains man's relationship with God as that as a servant/master relationship. Man has to do actions in order to please a distant God who may or may not let them into heaven. Compare this with Christianity in which everyone who accepts Jesus is guaranteed a spot in heaven.

  • Robertson Says All Other Religions Worship “Demonic Powers”

A viewer wrote in to ask Pat Robertson a question

Why [do] evangelical Christians tell non-Christians that Jesus (God) is the only way to Heaven? Those who are Hindu, Buddhist, Islamic, etc. already know and have a relationship with God. Why is this? It seems disrespectful.

Robertson replied that it is not all disrespectful because all other religions really just worship “demonic powers.”

No. They don’t have a relationship. There is the god of the Bible, who is Jehovah. When you see L-O-R-D in caps, that is the name. It’s not Allah, it’s not Brahma, it’s not Shiva, it’s not Vishnu, it’s not Buddha. It is Jehovah God. They don’t have a relationship with him. He is the God of all Gods. These others are mostly demonic powers. Sure they’re demons. There are many demons in the world.

Yes we have direct personal relationship with God. We don't need a 'middleman' to talk to our God.

    They think they have.

Like 'Pokie" I saw him cracking a joke about Christians' imaginary friend, how funny.

  • I never understood how you can have a personal relationship with a being that may or may not be anthropomorphic. Or for that matter, if it even exists.

of course we do, god is very close to our hearts and by the way, you dont need to be muslim to have that relationship with him...
