My daughter didn't start sleeping through the night til she was 14 months old.
Sometimes if she's had a stressful day or been with her dad for the week (during the summer) She still get's up in the night and she is going to be 5 in October.
Just put him back to bed when he gets up.
He will eventually sleep through the night.
With my daughter, once we get back on a regular routine she starts staying in her bed all night.

My almost 8 month old baby doesn't sleep through the night. Maybe one day in two weeks, she sleeps through. (8 pm till around 7 am) She wakes up, wants to be fed, wants to be rocked. She wakes up almost every hour. I tried to put her in bed later or sooner than usual, the same thing. I guess, we are going to have to wait for them to get a little older. As a matter of fact, I just asked a question about our nightly routine. There maybe an answer that could help you, too.

At the age of 6 months I started to feed my little ones a little bit of rice baby cereal that was very runny (Rice is the best to start with, because it is easiest on the digestive system) A few Drs. say no,not until a year old. But some say yes, they say that the little ones need a little more in their tummy. But make it very runny, and rice! After a few weeks (slowly!) make it a little bit thicker, make sure it is not making them constipated Good luck!
