    exhaust and intake modifications.

sym jet 50 2002 (long answer...)

Yeah this website is the best http://www.angelfire.com/space/csdority/......Rest...

If you have a sym jet the best thing to do from new is to De-Restrict you exhast like on the site. I would advise getting a weld on the exhaust (this will get you at about 60-65km/h as soon as the carbon has covered the fresh metal inside the exhaust). I think you best bet for power is to find a perfect mach of a sports exhaust (buying them all) or De-Restrict the standard one (best). The cdi unit may also be Restricted but I dont know i couldn't find it and there isn't enough info on the web to find anything about them (I was told there wasn't any electrical rescrtition) I dont see the point anyway increasing the rpm will make it blow. Another good mod would be to change the variator there is no Restricted washer thing in it, but buying a new inner front variator will help:

Another hard thing is to get the rollers/weights right. They aren't too expensive buy a few sets differnt weights.

Don't buy the clutch thing unless you want to be angry for an afternoon it doesn't do much anyway.

There is no point in carb changes much. You could change the main jet (giving more petrol in the mix about 5km/h max!) although the main jet isn't an easy thing to find anywhere. a good idea is to drill it a wee bit (dont go over the top though the more changes you have made the more you change the main jet size info on changing on http://www.angelfire.com/space/csdority/......estr... Leave the airfilter the same apart from maybe take the first layer of light spong off the air filter element) A trip to a dealer of sym may help in all of this. all this doesn't apply to euro x. Ask me questions if you have euro x. You can eventually get the sym jet with 50cc piston at about 70mph i think. Ask any questions (i am an expert on sym jet 50 in general). By the way the best way to go faster after all this is to get a cagiva mito, aprilia rs125 (De-Restricted), yamaha dt125 (De-Restricted) or a sachs xtc 125
