If someone doesn't show up when subpoenaed, what happens?

My sister was subpoenaed for court, but wasn't able to make it because she was not in the state at the time. Will a warrant put out for her arrest, or is that just dropped?

If she was called as a witness, probably not a warrant, but she should contact the attorney/DA and clear it with them that she was out of state so they know why she's a no-show. If she was the defendant, then they probably did issue a warrant, and she still needs to contact the clerk of court or get an attorney to do it and get her hearing rescheduled.

She needs to contact the court. the Judge likely issued a bench warrant.

I THINK THE COURTS WILL FIND HER IN CONTEMT OF COUURT. SHE NEEDS TO GET THIS CLEARED UP SO SHE DOES NOT GET A BENCH WARRANT.
