Anyone using Ninja Trader?

I'm considering using Ninja Trader with IB. Any experiance? Looking primarily at the ATM functions, especially breakeven stops & incremental increases in stops (not trailing stops).

Any ideas or warnings would be helpful!

I used NinjaTrader for a while. Only on charts though, I never used their order management system.

Let's see here. You will have to buy a data feed for anything better than day data (in fact, you will need a connection any data if you didn't know - NinjaTrader just provides the platform). Day data is taken from yahoo finance, and occasionally has problems (I kept getting glitch price and volume data for the next day somehow - extremely annoying).

The charting system is quite good. TOS is the only one so far I've found that can beat them in indicators (I'm sure tradestation does, but don't have the money). It only lacks here as well as chart grids - TOS has a feature where you can have grids of several charts (up to like 36 or something) one one screen, Ninja doesn't at all.

Overall, I thought NinjaTrader was a very good system, and I still have the software on my computer. Customer service is good as well when using the NinjaTrader forum.

I think TOS charting is far superior, but I have no complaints about NinjaTrader. Everything you need to know will be found in the help/tutorials sections, which has videos, text, and pictures. The help files are very well done.

    Good luck.

Also, a few of the data feeds they list don't work. It would probably be better to go with a big name like esignal.

A pain I found was that their backtesting only worked on individual stocks (you can select "bundles" but it returns different data showing each individual stock).

I'm sure you could get better reviews on elitetrader.com
