If Bad people go to hell....?

Then why would they be punished in a place like hell? Hell by nature would be full of bad and evil people / demons and the devil so surely they would be congratulated rather than punished for all of their evil doings and carrying out the devils work on earth?

Heaven on the other hand would surely take a much harder approach to wrong do-ers???

All the interesting people in history seem to be in hell, and all the bores in heaven. For example, George Bernard Shaw and Charles Darwin are in hell; Jerry Falwell and Aimee Semple McPherson in heaven. Which ones would you rather spend eterenity chatting with?

The most important thing here to remember is that Bad people are not sent to hell, the soul is.

The inner being, the voice of reason, love, compassion, the most remarkable thing GOD gave to us still exist in hell, however the love and mercy of God is not present therefore the soul sees no love, no companionship, it is individual punishment for all eternity.

The best picture i can describe is that hell is like a forest of our worst nightmares, we are lost and these nightmares is all we see, the memories we have, the oppurtunities we had, the things we fear are all present but no matter what we do we cannot change them nor can we run from them and no matter how much we cry or scream we will never see love, compassion, or any thing that will bring us comfort. we stay there and slowly become a part of what we fear the good in us ciest to exist...

    now this is hell...

I have to agree with this guy's post...

"Boiling in a lake of fire sounds like good punishment to me"

    This punishment never ends.

Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

And the rewards in heaven go on for eternity too.

Hell is a place of torment, there is no congratulating going on there. Heaven is perfect.

The Bible says we're all bad people. But there is a difference in some of us. Some people have accepted Jesus and their Lord and Savior and believe that He died and rose again for their sins. Those people will go to Heaven. The ones that don't believe will go to Hell.

On brain death all consciousness ends forever, nothing survives - game over, lights out. All that remains is the vessel your personality (or soul) once occupied. Heaven and Hell are polarised concepts of good and evil, conceived to make one behave in a moral way or face dire consequences. They are therefore only effective during ones lifetime since, and I'll say it again to emphasise the point ALL CONSCIOUSNESS CEASES at death. What then happens to your body matters little since you have no awareness or feeling, but neither it nor your 'soul' go anywhere. You simply cease to exist.

I personally do not believe that hell exists, though I have never seen it.

I think that it is something that the churches invented to scare the living day-lights out of us.

They wanted to control us in the past, they still use this as a system of control at school.

They want to give us nightmares so that we do everything that they want us to do. It makes us behave at school, study and then go to work and give more and more to the government or the Spanish inquisition.

It is about the systems of control, like the Illuminati is.

Heaven wouldn't do anything to wrong do-ers because God doesn't WANT to punish anyone.

Hell would be the ultimate place because people go to hell for being sucked in by satan. Satan doesn't have "friends" and doesn't want to commend anybody for anything, even if they are evil like him.

He makes people bad so that he can punish them for it later.

Not only bad people we all deserve to be in hell. Ecclesasties 7:20 "For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not." Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

The image that people have of Hell, (along with just as about every other theological notion) has been deformed and changed from what reality is. Hell is not a hangout for all the bad-guys... Hell is not a world ruled by Satan and his henchmen... What people refer to as 'Hell' is a burning lake of fire and brimstone where non-believers ALONG WITH Satan and all his demons are burned and tortured for eternity.

Hell is not for "bad people"... it is for satan, but if one chooses not to accept Christ, he/she can not enter heaven, and the only other option is hell. BTW, there will be many people in hell that gave the impression of being "good" on earth, yet they never really accepted God into their hearts and lived for Him... trust me when I say that many notably "good people" will be in hell, wishing the facade of a life they had would have been true.

And the devil cares nothing about those he lured into hell... he cares about no one. He makes things look good to woo them into the dark side, but he is not going to "side" with them in hell... it is going to be worse for them than anything we could ever imagine!
