Why is a Boxing ring square?

too funny,I never thought about that before

yeah it does contradicts precise? RING = Circle then why sq. because boxers used to strive against in a circle drawn on the floor, observed as the hoop. This call stuck On even after the boxing ring grew to change right into a sq.

Its an exact square because you don't look at the eye level. You are watching the feet of your opponent. This way your peripheral vision lets you know where you are in the ring.

I don't think the could be bothered making a triskaidecagon every time there was a boxing match on! lol!

Because it is easier to string the ropes in a square fashion? And, circles don't have corners!
