Unlockable Brett Favre (Madden 09)?

Can someone tell me how to unlock Brett Favre on the XBox 360 version of Madden 09?

    You can get an online updated roster. Or you can go to the NFL Greats team and release him into the free agents

    You will need the Madden Update online. Offline, you have to create himself yourself. I made the mistake of unlocking him from the HOF players and started my season. I was in week 4 of the regular season when I realized unlocking him, makes him a 25 yr old rookie, vice a 37yr old, 17 yr veteran.

    Haven't played yet, so not sure, but I know that there is an updated roster with him on the Jets for download.
