Phone got washed and would like to know how to switch number to new phone?
I went fishing today and without even thinking about it I left my phone in my pocket, I realized it after about an hour and the dot was red for water damage on the phone but in hope I took out the battery and tried to let it air dry. I would like to purchase a phone of of somewhere like E-bay and just switch my number and account and anything that I possibly can over to the new one? is this possible if so how do I do it and what do I need to do and in case it matters Alltel is my carrier.

Alltel is a cdma carrier, so you simply take your phone to them and they will port the old number for a small fee (perhaps they may even wave the fee if youve been a customer for a few years)
For anyone reading this in the future, NEVER use alcohol to clean electronic devices.
Alcohol is used as a solvent in plastics.

Go to an Alltel retailer and they can help you. The same thing happened to my Mom's friend when she washed her phone accidentally.

Just swap the sim cards over they should not be to damaged. If they are, then wash with pure alcohol (methylated spirits).

u could go ur carrier n tell them wat happen 2 ur fone or u could buy one from ebay but u gon have 2 pay shippin but go 2 ur carrier first n see wat dey say.
