does the living one act like the one in old yellar? I wonder if you get 2 from different liters . male female and after 10 years the female dies and thats the only 2 animals you had together does the other one want to just commit suicide or something? lonely depressed? acts like a dishrag ?

he or she would be sad for a few days but then they would move on

They will be depressed. 1000% sad. Most of the time, the remaining dog will go within a few months to a year or two if they were both old. It is sad, but some dogs die of heart break , or that is the only explanation! :(

Yes some dogs do grieve.Some take it in stride and act normal.Give your dog a few days or a week or two and more attention he/she will snap out of it,although may not act as rowdy as before.
