Smoking in Italy and Switzerland?
I want to travel to Italy and Switzerland but have asthma and am bothered by cigarette smoke in enclosed areas. What is the smoking policy in shops/restaurants/attractions/public transportation in these countries?

In Italy smoking is forbidden on any public transportation, national or international (from 2005 there are no more seats/couch for smokers, so it's 100% forbidden), and in any public places like restaurants, bars (pub, café), theaters, museums, libraries, waiting rooms for public transportation etc. unless there is a specific room for smokers.

It's forbidden on public transport in both countries. Restaurants will still generally have smoking areas, but are also required to have non-smoking areas.

A ban like it is desperate by making use of the corporate. The police have no longer something to do with it, because of the fact it is thoroughly a civil challenge. Smoke all you prefer in a company motor vehicle, you will never get a cost tag for it. yet while it smells like an ashtray once you turn it in, they could make you pay to get the scent out, or merely fireplace you. *further* Sorry, i did no longer be conscious of this question replace into concerning the united kingdom. i replace into assuming it replace into approximately some US company that banned smoking of their vehicles.
