What ethnicity is Mets manager Jerry Manuel?
Is Jerry Manuel latino or black?
No racist comments please, only legit answers.
I am asking because I want to know if Randolph was replaced with another black manager (another black manager got a chance) or a latino manager.

I would put him in the category of "back stabbing rat who got Mets management to fire Willie Randolph". I'm not sure what race that would be but it's the only one that counts!

Jerry Manuel is African-American, born in Georgia.
I know it's Wikipedia, but it's the first thing I found. The Wikipedia article cites a direct quote from a 2003 Topps baseball card, which says "Manuel and Ken Williams form the first African-American GM/manager tandem in MLB history."
The article goes on to mention that Manuel is New York's second African-American MLB manager, after Randolph.

I didn't know either, but had also been curious.
I stand by my answer despite the thumbs-down.

You can be both, you know. Latino means you're from Latin America. Latinos can be Mestizo, European, African, Amerindian or Asian.
I saw a picture of him. He looks black to me. Manuel is a Spanish surname, so perhaps he is Afro-Latino?
