linksys wireless router with mtnl DSL modem?

Can some one please tell me the steps to set up linksys WRK54G wireless router with mtnl DSL modem? I have been trying for couple of days..

1.can u pls tell me the steps

2.do i need to upgrade the firmware, its v1.00.0 currently

3.for the router configuration, what should be the set up parameters and values

Thanks for the reply, but i dont have the manual and the cd right now. How shud i do without them?

Probably some one using mtnl who as configured wireless router may be able to help with the selections and values..

    You should have the accompanying user manual that came with the device when you bought it. The step-by-step instructions for setting-up the router is described there. If you don't have the manual, you can download it from the Linksys website. You can also download the latest firmware version (ver 8.2), I believe from the website.

    There is also a CD accompanying the product. It contain the "Setup Wizard" that you should run to set-up the router.

    As for the router configuration, try using the default settings first. The default settings work in 90% of most cases.
