What are ways to stop addictions?
This addiction is not a drug problem or a drinking problem but is a video game problem. I play this game called "Runescape" at least 3-4 hours a day but I cannot stop. I need to know ways to help and stop my addiction fast because school is coming up and I don't want to be distracted from my studies. Please give me ideas.

If you want to quit for good:
Do some crazy fingers on your keyboard while Word, Wordpad or Notepad is open, to get something like ADFGLIUH15239. Go to change your password, and type that in twice, for password and then for confirm password. You won't remember it next time you try to log in. Do the same for your recovery questions, then close Notepad/Word/Wordpad. Bye-bye RS.
If you want to quit till the summer:
Cancel your membership (if you have one), change your password to something similar to what you did above, but this time print the document and give it to your parents and ask them to keep it somewhere safe, or ask them to save it to the computer and put a password on the file that they'll remember but you won't know.
I've done it, it works like a charm. Since it's not a drug or drinking problem and it's not actually doing anything major to your body, you won't fall further into the problem like you would if you just had someone take away your drugs or drinks.

spam your password in the chatbox, so you get hacked, and change all your recover questions to random letters so you can't get it back
