Handicap parking permit?
I have a handicap parking permit that I use to park in handicap spots. I recently visited a university to visit my sister and was parked in one with my sticker visibly hanging from the rearview mirror, and received a warning ticket. It stated I didnt have a university valid handicap permit. Can a public institution do this? I was under the impression a handicap spot was a handicap spot. And its not like I took all the spots up, as there were two empty ones right next to me.

Most college campus parking is for students and requires a student permit to be displayed. This includes handicapped permits. Check the visitor parking lot and you will probably see handicapped spots there. These are two different types of permits and parking areas.

No they can not. Your state permit is all you need. If they give you a ticket, then sue them for being prejudice against handicapped people
