ambit energy turned off my moms energy after she was 5 days late on her bill. after my mom paid $150 and got assistance to pay $100, they told her it was $150 to turn them back on. after i paid that they said it was $120 to turn the lights back on. after i paid that for her, they said they needed $62 to turn them back on. then $62 more, then $96 more! i NEVER got a hold of an actual person, even after waiting over an hour on hold! FINALLY, they turned the lights on! this CANT be legal! please help us!

Why not try someone at the county atty's office or the State PUC comission.

I would call two places...the better business bureau in your area and file a complaint, and also the state board of health. I wouldn't think it would be legal, but I really can't say for sure. Start there.
