What should I wear as everyday makeup? -Clueless ?

Hi all,

I don't wear makeup very frequently, maybe once a week on the weekends. I'd like to start wearing makeup more frequently during the week, but I just want a soft, healthy, natural look, nothing fancy or really obvious.

I'm 19, brown eyes, medium length brown hair, yellow/light olive skin tone.

I have no idea how to do a natural everyday makeup look for school. Help much appreciated!

Update:

Edit: I also use Retin-A. I don't know if that matters.

Use a sheer foundation that matches your skin tone exactly. Wear a blush that is soft and natural on the apples of your cheeks. Use a base neutral color (beige-ish) of shadow all over your eyelid. Wear an eye liner in a soft color that compliments your eyes (lavender or a soft purple is a nice alternative to brown) and finish with some waterproof mascara (so you don't get smudging) that doesn't clump. You will look fresh, natural and pretty and not made up at all.

ha, we have very similar features.

I am also a no-makeup kind of person. My go-to regimen has become:

    1. moisturizer to keep my skin healthy (i have been using the Peter Thomas Roth oil-free moisturizer from Sephora.com with relative success)

    2. If you use foundation (which i do because my skin tone is somewhat uneven over my cheekbones...too much sun) be prepared to use a blush as well. An almost-bubble-gum pink powder foundation i think looks natural year-round

    3. either light pink (to pull pink tones out of our olive-y skin) or a thin line of burnished gold eyeshadow (check Aveda's spark and aurora eyeshadows to see what I mean)

    4. Lancome Defincil's mascara is worth every penny you spend.

    In that order, of course!

I'm 19 and have similar features to what you just described and I just got into make up as well. Depending on the brands you can use inexpensive make up at drug stores or those high end make up like MAC. I have a mixture of both. I like mineral make from everydayminerals, or bare essentials, but I also like liquid foundations by MAC. But yeah, I love using nude colors, different shades of browns and pinks. And sometimes would add some gold shimmers. NYX carries a variety of eye shadows that you can check out and it works just as great as MAC and they are a lot cheaper. I love palettes just because there's a wider range than just single shadows.

If you have good skin, find a tinted moisturizer than matches with your skin colour and use that. Use concealer ony for any blemishes, and powder. Not too much though.A cream blusher should make your skin look dewy and healthy For the eyes, just use black or brown eyeliner, and black mascara. Put natural looking lipgloss on your lips and you're done!

Hey so I used to be in the same boat that you're in. Right now, I try to have a healthy, natural makeup that takes minimal time.

First of all, we're young (I am sixteen) and you don't want to cover your young, fresh face with tons of foundation goop. So I usually start with just a touch of powder bronzer to warm up my face. I use Rimmel London Natural Bronzer. (http://www.rimmellondon.com/US/products/face/produ... It's only about $3.50 at Walmart. Cheap and useful! Then add a bit of powder blush to give your face a little bit of color.

Finish with a little bit of mascara, eyeshadow, and lipgloss. That's it! Good luck!

Loose powder as foundation if you have nice skin or mineral foundation if you have problem skin. Eyeliner on your lowerlid (way to dramatic for everyday if on your upper lid too) and some mascara to fill and lengthen your eyelashes. Using a lash curler will also add tons of length.

Umm, start with foundation (ONLY if you need it), and then start with your eyes!!! Okay, first apply a thin even line of brown eyeliner to top lid(bottem too for a more WOW look), then do mascara, if you want/need to, curl your lashes first. Apply as much as you want/need. Just don't do to much, to get a clumped on look!! Next do shadow, this is optional, but if you want to, then I would recommend getting a three kit Shadow, darkest shade on lid, medium shade in crease, and lightest shade in right under her brow, to really make that part pop, and draw attention to your eye. Next, apply blush and bronzer(?). This is how apply it, (I have a heart shaped face, which make s a diff.) I smile in the mirror, and start putting blush on the apples of my cheeks, and sweep it out and up wards. Then, if you want, you can also apply bronzer. This is how I apply mine, I put some on top of my foor-head, right next to hair line, and then some down my nose, and chin and on my temples, blending it down towards my cheeks, and cheek bones. And then, finish with nude colored lip gloss. And then, step back and examine your self!!!! Okay, of course you will have to customize to/for your face, and always remember to blend blend blend!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh yeah, I recommend using the brand cover girl.
