I just had 4 wisdom teeth out yesterday. The day of the surgery, I don't want to lie, is pretty much hell for a few hours afterward. Just be sure to take your pain relievers because those help GREATLY! I was in a very bad mood when I first got it done but after the pain went away, I was laughing and goofing around. You may look like a chipmunk for a few days, like I still do, but take it good-naturedly and grab a camera. You'll laugh about it later. :P You won't feel a thing as the surgery is being done, I don't even remember it.

Make sure to rinse with salt water as much as your oral surgeon recommends. Salt water makes the extraction sites feel VERY good and it prevents Dry Socket. I would stay on a liquid diet for the day of the surgery AND the next day. I'm on my second day and my best friends food wise were Whipped Cream :P, Pudding, Frostys from Wendys, Jell-O, Applesauce, and Yogurt. I don't know if you're anything like me, but I was worried about gaining weight will all of this stuff, since there's a lot of fat in some of it. But don't worry about that either, I actually lost weight. Make sure there's a substantial amount of fat and calories in your food! Drink plenty of water and take your antibiotics.

As for your question about Sunday...that would be like if I was going somewhere today. I feel fine but I still have a swollen face. Just ice your face a lot, take your medicine, and don't eat actual solid food for a few days. If you do that, I'm sure you'll be alright to go Sunday. Healing time for every person is different. I seem to think that I healed faster/am healing faster because I got them out so young. I'm 14.

So, good luck with your surgery, you'll do just fine!

Source(s): I got my 4 wisdom teeth out yesterday because I had braces and if I didn't get them out, my teeth would've become crooked again, and tender.

I had my lower right wisdom tooth taken out this morning - I'm on YA now trying to find out if its safe to take paracetamol while I'm still slightly numb from the injections! I feel swollen and the pain is starting to come, but it's not unbearable. Hopefully paracetamol will do the job with the pain later.

For the REM gig, i would imagine you'll be fine to go as long as you stay out of any potential areas where you may be hit in the face - ie don't try and get too close to the front!

    Ouch!

I remember my Mum telling me about having her 4 wisdom teeth out, she woke up with pain all round her face and head, and i think she had bruises. But she had them out because they were trapping nerves or something.

I think you'l be able go the concert, its upto you really, depending if your in alot of pain or not. I'd imagine the Hospital will give you strong pain Killers anyway.

YOU will be fine on Sunday, just softer food. Sore on Friday and Sat but use ice and get an RX for pain and you will be fine if not a little chipmunked cheeked!

I had 3 out but then got 'dry socket'. It was very painful.

To avoid getting it, eat your meals through a straw and resist trying to eat anything solid.

If you avoid dry socket or any other infection, you should be fine. Your cheeks will be swollen though!

You will feel groggy when you come round, but if you garggle with salt water and take pain killers, then im sure your concert on sunday can be acheieved.

It could be worse, it could be RAINING!!!!!!
