Question about Porsche's presence in North America?

I know Porsche of North America is getting ready to celebrate 25 years. So who were they before, since obviously Porsches have been sold here since the early 1950s (although it probably was that importer from NYC who brought the first ones)?

It was a man named Max Hoffman who was the first man to start importing Porsches into the United States. He actually helped Ferry (founder Ferdinand's son) create the badge we see now today on all Porsches. The Porsche Speedster produced in 1956 to 1959 was made for the American market requested by Max Hoffman.

Before Porsche established Porsche Cars of North America, Porsches were imported and distributed by various companies and people, such as Max Hoffman. PCNA provides sales, parts, and services to Customers and Dealerships throughout the USA.

Porsche was in Germany and they did sell Porsche's in America.

But they did not build Porsche of America until later on.

Porsche os America is in charge of American advertisements. Car designers also work their designing cars. And they make products like t shirts and key chains.

But Porsche's are still built in Germany and shipped over here.

They are in Atlanta GA now, and used to be in Reno NV. Before that they had different importing dealers in NY and Los Angeles. For a while they used the VW network.
