Home Schooling out of Country?

My son is in VPK in the U.S. now. Next year he may be traveling to Toluca Mexico, and will be there for a while maybe a year or two. He is very bright and advances in school well. I don't want him to be behind when he comes back, because I don't want him to have problems in school if I can avoid it. I know he won't get English reading and writing in public school in Mexico. And my husband and his brothers came here in high school and they say the curriculum is further ahead here. I have seen some international schools on internet but one is in Mexico city and another is where my husbands sister lives but 6 hours away from where my husband and his parents will be living and we don't want our 5 year old to go away to school especially in a strange country. We are considering my husband keeping up a home school curriculum to make up for things he will miss in public school there, however english is not my husbands first language, and our son does not like to listen to us when we try to teach him, he wants to prove he can do everything on his own, so my husband is unsure if he can educate him. Any ideas on private schools or tutoring in Mexico? or maybe even finding a tutor that will travel to Mexico if offered a home, meals, and living allowance? Any other ideas?

I don't know what to expect or where to look for answers?

Why not purchase a homeschool curriulum and work through it with him. http://www.sonlight.com/ would be a good option. They offer a free catalog and a great return policy, if it doesn't work out.

    Best of Luck!
