Anybody else get the feeling we're moving to 4 minutes to midnite soon?

just wondering, maybe it's just me.

Update:

I've been telling people that M.A.D. and national suicide are not in ours or Russia's best interest and that WWIII will never happen in our lifetime. But i 'blinked' after hearing comments from that Russian general...

Update 2:

btw, Just l.. o we've been at 5 minutes to midnite since last year...true story.

I thought it was hanging at the last minute with the second hand coming up on the twelve!

But usually my watch is fast anyway! Even if you crossed the international date line there isn't enough time left to prepare for what's coming next!

Ah, ye ole Armageddon Clock. Last time I came acroos that was in the Watchmen(READ THIS...the movie should be great) Anyways I do admit we are moving closer to nuclear war with the recent stories coming out of Eastern Europe; though on the other hand I find that a full exchange of nuclear weapons between the US and Russia is very very unlikely and that the Armageddon Clock is an anacronism. My personal view is that MAD(mutually assured destruction) is more then enough impetus to prevent full scale nuclear war. Both side are well aware that there is no scenario that would be adventagious to either side. With the boomers(Nuclear submarines such as the Los Angeles class) sneeking around below the waves there is no way for a country to assure that even a first strike would be a sucess. On the other hand I do see how the US moves could be concieved as aggresive even though they are defensive, though this is a bit farcical due to the fact they have far more ICMBs then we would have counter measures.

I could see the possibility of a conventional conflict in the future but do not worry about the nukes, won't happen, if it does there will be nothing to worry about. PLus isn't the world supposed to end in 2012 anyways? hehe

I don't think a lot of people on here will understand that statement, but I recently saw the show on this, and yes, it's getting closer to midnight on the Russia/US clock.
