how long to charge a 1 farad capacitor?

yeah like 2 - 3 hrs for a complete charge n btw make sure u install it correctly and do the light blub charge thing as well its important with a 1 farad cap. you dont wanna waste time n money on something u just got....but just to give you a heads up... caps arent that great get an xtra battery or just change your car batt. to a better one i recommend "optima" batteries they work great for car audio...

I have never heard of it taking long like that ever. All you do is get the test light and put one of the leads to the power wire and one of the other leads on the positive side of the batter. The light should go on and then dim quickly. Thats how i was told by people and the directions. and to discharge it you take both leads from the test light to the positive and negative side the ligh should light up and dim.
