A Weird Situation.. Help!?
okay, i have asked my mom and dad millions of times if i can get my lip pierced. they already let me get my bellybutton. i have begged and begged but they said no. BUT THERES A CATCH! they will let me get a TATTOO of a cross but they wont even let me get my lip pierced! that doesnt make sense! they allow me to get a tattoo of a cross but tthey wont let me get my lip pierced? does anyone know why they would say this?

well lip piercings have a lot more risks then other piercings. i guess they think that if the tattoo is in the shape of a cross it is ok because it has some religious back round to it, where as a lip piercing is a nest for bacteria and is a lot more visible

Maybe it's because a bellybutton piercing and a tattoo should be in places that don't see much daylight. A lip piercing is just right there in their faces every time they look at you. Also, depending on your age and what you might have in mind as a future career. Unless you're planning to be an exotic dancer of some sort, the bellybutton ring and the tattoo (I assume) are both in places no prospective employer should ever have to see. My daughter has a tattoo on the top outside of her right hip and in the middle of her back. She has always wanted to be a grade school teacher so there's no reason they should be seen.
