sharoz s here it is
1.) 11=m+1
this is finding the value of m
so removed + 1 beside m by adding -1 to the left of the equal sign and the right
-1 + 11 = m + 1 - 1
10 = m + 0
so → m = 10
2.)m/4 =6
here remove the /4 under m by making it 1(one)
how: → multiply 4 to the left side of equal sign and to the right side too
4 x m/4 = 6 x 4
4 cancel out making it 1(one) . one time m = m
so → m = 24
3.) 21=7y
here remove the 7 beside the y by making it 1(one)
how: → divide by 7 to the left side of the equal sign and to the right too.
12/7 = 7/7(y)
12/7 = 1(y)
y = 12/7
hope this helps

1) 11=m+1
-1 -1 (Addition Property of Equality)
10=m
2) m/4=6
*4 *4 (Division Property of Equality)
m=24
3) 21=7y
/7 /7 (Divided by 7) (MultiplicationProperty of Equality)

how to answer number one:
11=m+1
first you transpose the +1 to the other side by making the equation to
11-1=m+1-1
therefore making the equation: 10=m, or m=10
how to answer number two:
m/4=6
you multiply both sides of the equation by 4 to get: m= 24
how to answer number three:
21=7y
you divide both sides of the eqation by 7 to get:
y=3

You have to isolate the variable. So for the first one you must isolate m to do this you subtract 1from both sides to get m=10. For the second one you multiply 4 form both sides to get m=24. For the last one you must isolate Y by dividing both side by 7 to get y=3
