Do you think China's Olympic Gold Medals will be revoked for having underage female gymnasts?
I have a hard time believing that those Chinese female gymnasts will be at least 16 years old by the end of this year.

Only the gold medals, or any medals for that matter, that were won by the underage gymnasts will be revoked.

I think they should if it's proven, do I think it will happen? No.
And before anyone says anything about "Omg USA sucks, whiny loosers, stop being bad sportsmen, you don't deserve the medal!" Blah blah blah, keep in mind the OTHER countries/people, not just the USA, were possibly cheated out of medals if they were underaged.
It's not just the USA that would move up. What about Romania? They'd take the silver then, and Russia (I think it was Russia) who pulled 4th and didn't even medal, they'd move up and pull bronze. Not to mention all the individual events.
I don't know anyone who's Chinese so I can't say about their appearances, however I do know a woman who turned 43 this year and could pass for 23... so yes, it's possible. Not likely to be quite the same at age 16ish, but possible.
Missing teeth? Maybe it got knocked out during practice?
We don't know, and probably never will. I doubt, really really doubt, it will ever be investigated to the degree it should be. But, even if it isn't proven true all the rumors and allegations about it will leave a black spot on China for years to come. The damage is done already, just because the FIG/IOC says it isn't true doesn't mean it'll be forgotten and just go away.

P.S. I don't believe the fact that they may(or may not have) been trained since they were 3, only saw their parents once a year, and trained for hours and hours a day (because no other countries gymnasts do?) is a valid reason for it to be okay for them to cheat.
That's like saying, "I've trained my entire life to cheat on my taxes, since I could think! I lived without so much to see to it, so it's okay if it breaks the laws because I worked hard and gave a lot up to do so."
Or, it's okay to cheat on a test because you don't have a good life at home, or you're too busy with sports or whatever.

why ever think that american that do what they came to the olympics to do... are cheating.. Phelps is clean.... You have to pass before you leave.. every single day... i see ur just bashing on him cuz u rly didnt watch the documentary or anything that any olympions had to do.... they drug tested every day.....
Theres other ppl saying US gymnast cheated for being underage... but that rly just shows how ignorate ppl are about the US government and domentation.... they have PUBLIC school record and PUBLIC birth certificates.... so some ppl are just dumb!! FYI :americans dont have to lie to win... they will bring amazing gymnast no matter what.. They need a government passport to even go across the border of the United States to begin with....when there not old enough there not going to get a government passport to travel across seas to China!! Why cheat when u can wait 4 years and win fair and square..!!
China is NOW under investigation due to new information about 3 gymnast who are illegaly underage.... if they are found at fault they will have there team gold striped, and the medals that were award to the underage gymnast.. leaviing china with 2 bronze medals...

That's because they're not nearly 16. And even though the IOC seems scared to hold China to the same standards everyone else meets, when the facts come out, their medals should be revoked. If this stuff were happening in any other country, the entire world would be outraged. Can you imagine if the US had tried to get away with that in Atlanta? But for some reason, China seems to be above criticism. I don't get it.

I think they should be revoked without question if they find out (which they already did) they are underage. And no its not that i think they should be revoked because I want the americans to win that badly but China Cheated and olympic medalist have had there medals revoked for way less. one girl one year i don't remember which sport or year, had her medal taken away because she took cold medicine because she had a cold. THEY TOOK HER MEDAL AWAY FOR THAT SO THEY SHOULD TAKE IT AWAY FOR CHEATING! cheating is way worse then taking cold medicine. China get over it you cheated and you were caught. maybe you'll learn for the next olympics.so there =]

Yes i think they will and if they are underage and they don't take them away that is pretty crappy when there is rules they should stick to the rules and if they break the rules there is no reason for them not to be taken away. The other night a chinese gymnast tied with an american for the gold and they didn't have a tie breaker or anything they just gave it to the china girl. >:( but we ended up taken best all around! That is china's only goal is to beat the us.

Do you think there will be this underage issue if US had won all the gold and the chinese silver instead?
The answer is a definite NO.
Just because US is a world power doesnt mean that they need to win every title. Just because Shawn Johnson or Nastia Liukin is world famous doesnt mean they cant lose to the little unknown chinese gymnast like He kexin or Jiang Yuyuan.
Com'on.. to *ell with this underage issue...

Saying someone is underage just by looking at them is like accusing someone of being a criminal because he has a crooked mustache. Can someone say that Phelps is fast because of new undetectable U.S. designer drugs?
The IOC have verified the age of the gymnasts. If you don't have faith in the IOC which comprises officials from all over the world, don't participate in the Olympics.

Its good that IOC is investigating otherwise debate will never end. To ensure Olympics is going in a fair environment, they would like away the medal of those didn't follow the rule. It should be NO EXCEPTIONS even they are the most powerful/ wealthy countries

Who knows how far they will go with the investigation. If any girls are underage, their medals should be stripped. What an embarrassment to the Chinese.
