Anyone know what London may have in store for the Opening Ceremony of 2012 Summer Olympics?

I think China spent crazy amounts of money to pull off the opening ceremony, but it was one heck of a show and I was glad to get to see it.

That said, does London plan to try and "outdo" China? Could London put on a better performance? (These questions are not intended to offend anyone, I am just curious.)

there is a pipe band playing, i know that it sounds pretty boring but when you listen to them it send shivers down your back because of the amount of sound and the type.

Are you kidding? China spend over 40 billion dollars on the Olympics. I'd be suprised to see London spend a fraction of that. I really feel bad for London to follow right after China.

That will be a tough act to follow. What i think will happen is, that the World Media will make sure we only remember how China cheated by sending 14 yo girls to the Olympics. It will be bigger news then than it is now. This will diminish the luster that would have been the 2008 Olympics

After 4 years some people might forget how big and extravagant it was so maybe it won't be too noticeable to most viewers
