In an empty apartment for 12 days until our stuff comes. What will we need to get by until then?

We're moving from state to state, and the moving company won't get our stuff to us until the 12th ... we get our new apartment on the 1st.  We know we'll need a bed and two chairs, but what else will we need to survive?  We have clothes, a picnic basket with plastic dishes and serving ware.

Depends on how much you think you can do without.  Some people think they can't do without a tv or a computer.  both can be set up to run on the floor.  If you don't care about that don't forget the soap, Shampoo, razors, towels, laundry detergent, food, condiments (you would be surprised how many most people keep).  If you have a washer and dryer you are probably good with a few days of clothes if not better have enough for a week or so at least.  Don't forget to pack some grungies since you will probably want to do some cleaning or other preparation in the apartment while you wait.
