No it's appalling and it doesn't matter how good the price is. If you want to get an HDTV for your PS3 then go for a slightly better make. You can get a good Sony or Samsung for around £350. Have a look at http://plasmaorlcd.co.uk/ they recommend good tvs to people if you email them, depending on your needs.

By the way, the Luxor TV is able to receive HD. It's not true what one of the answers said that it just downconverts HD to SD. The reason why this tv is bad, is because the contrast ratio is extremely low, the brightness is poor, and the processing engines inside won't be as good as a good make like Sony, Samsung, Panasonic etc.

Sorry to be blunt but don't want you to waste your money! Plus you did ask :)

    Hope that helps!

Not too bad, however, it's not high def, it says "HD ready" because it downscales a high def signal to Standard definition, so it can accept the signal either way. For best PS3 viewing, get a HD set, you won't regret paying a little extra for a more well known brand also, for example LG, because parts are easily and cheaply available out of warranty...

The specs are irrelevant. It's cheap and it's a Luxor.

That means it has been assembled using low quality components. This results in poor sound quality, poor picture quality, shoddy build quality and dodgy reliability.

If you actually want to enjoy what you watch, but something else...

Mmmmm, not bad I'd personally go for a Samsung.
