Tragus Piercing at both sides or one tragus and a different piercing?
Okay, so I really want my tragus pierced.
I have thought it through for over a year and I have decided, dispite the pain, I'm going to get it done.
Should I have it done at both sides? Does it get caught in headphones or anything?
Or should I get it at one side and at the other get a different piercing?
Can you reccommend any other piercings?
Thanks xx
I mean both ears. :P
and I currently have 2 lobe piercings at onh both ears. thats all

Hi there, I would recommend you get just the one Tragus and another piercing- but on the same side as the Tragus. The main reason for this is because it's such a pain to have both sides of your ear pierced...it's awkward to sleep on and it's detrimental for a piercing to have pressure on it...which it obviously will have if you sleep on it! No, in my opinion you should get 2x piercings on ONE ear. And then, when they've healed go for the Tragus on the other ear.
Also, Tragus piercings don't hurt so bad at all. Mine hasn't healed yet as it's been a few days buuuuut...when it does heal, it will be fine with headphones.
And as for the suggestion thing, I've got two for you. And I'll come back and edit this answer so I can add pics for you to see what I mean.
My first recommendations would be a forward helix. Also known as an anti helix. To be quite honest this looks amazing with the Tragus and I want one so badly!
My second recommendation would be an industrial bar. I have one and I love it, despite it being problematic and painful to get. Anyway, I'll add piccies in a minute.

The anti helix is the one with the barbell in...you see the tragus? it's the one thats sort of vertical to it- like the one on top- almost where an industrial bar would be, the one closest to the head.

And that one is the industrial bar- it's at the top of the ear! Thats my ear by the way, with my new tragus, i think the two go quite well!
Anyway, I hope I helped you =D

I have a tragus piercing and honestly it doesn't hurt anywhere near as much as people say. I would say a 4 on a scale of 1-10 (10 being highest!) It will be sore for a while after you have it pierced so you probably won't be able to wear headphones for a while! And it depends what size bar/hoop you've got to whether it'll get caught in your headphones or not! I've found it quite tricky! I only have mine pierced on one side which is my right side. I think it looks a bit odd on both sides personally.

I dont think you should get the tragus on both sides, but if you want to I'd do it at different times just so you can at least sleep on one side while the other heals lol.
but I have an industrial on my left ear and plan to get my tragus in a couple months on the right ear. so that would be my suggestion for the other piercing-- an industrial :)
I also have 2 lobe piercings on both ears.

I think both sides look tacky if you don't wear it right or have a lot of other piercings around your ear. I say one side get a tragus and the other get something similar but not the same like rook or daith, not a cartilage because its to far away and it will look off.

i have my tragus on one side and am about to get a vertical tragus on the other side.
i would also like to mention that it really doesn't hurt that bad at all.
for the first week or so it will hurt to wear headphones and earbuds may not fit in your ear due to the swelling.
and if you choose to get your tragus on one side and something else on the other the anti-tragus is nice (its my favorite out of all of mine) but a rook would also balance it out pretty well.
good luck!

I have my tragus piercing in my right ear,
it does catch on some ear phones, you just have to be care full.
And on your hair sometimes
O and clothes.
And it doesnt hurt!!
Honestly
i think that you should any get it done in 1 ear, it will look tacky in both.

I have my tragus pierced and personally i like just having one done. both sides woodnt look bad or anything but it all depends on what you already pierced on your ears. I like to keep mine even on both sides but not the same. its all your desison mostly tho

I have my tragus, rook and helix pierced. they didnt hurt at all 1-10 it was a 2 the healing was a 4. you should get the tragus on one side and get it with a hoop cause it heels faster and looks cuter and on the other side get the helix with a hoop you will love it ive got so many compliments on it, good luck and pick the right person who does it fast but gentle :)
