Laptop, powered from outlet?

Alright, I just got this new computer... a laptop, and I was wondering if powering it from the outlet (wall) more often than not is good or bad for the thing. That power bar on the power cord that connects to the outlet gets pretty damn hot, and I was just wondering. Thanks.

it doesnt matter \ usually all power bars get ridicuously hot but they are made to handle it -just dont get the laptop battery depleted too much-

like when your using it make sure its always connected to outlet-that way u avoid overheating the laptop and the charger constantly------keeping your sweet new laptop always connected to charger also extended your laptops internal battery cells as they are not being used -hope this helps (and makes sense) !!
