Best router for Playstation network?

Would a gaming router and not just a basic home router be better for playing my PS3. The problem I have is that I can't get my NAT settings set right on my Playstation through my current router. Any one have any ideas on this

    the netgear HD/GAMING 5 GHZ WIRELESS-N NETWORKING KIT model WNHDEB111, is specifically designed for gamming. i never used this router so i dont know first hand whats different about it over a regular router
