What will China's legacy be regarding the Oly games?

I think imo, that it has proven to the world it is still not to be trusted. It did not allow freedom of protesters and the internet as promised to get the games and the air was horribly bad.

I hope to hear from people all over the globe.

I agree that in the long run, the issues surrounding age falsification, judging errors, and summary evictions to make room for the Olympic village will stand as China's legacy, but I think that America's legacy at the games will be determined by how we address those issues. The world already sees us as spoiled babies, and complaining about these issues will even exasperate things. The investigation needs to be lead by the rest of the world and we need to keep our composure. Our athletes have won and lost with dignity, and we need to maintain the same dignity back home.

If one honestly question his/her own conscious, then the answer wuld be "Not any other nation in the world was capable and will be able to host a more successful game as China did in its history. " Because no other nation is willing to spend 50+ billion dollars for a world sports game and no other nation is capable to mobilize hundred of thousands of people to work together in such a unisom manner.

They could start by rehoming the elderly and defenseless whom they evicted (and whose homes they subsequently demolished to make way for the Olympic village), in the now redundant Olympic village.

They could come clean about lying about the ages of the children they exploited, by making them compete alongside adults.

They could also get their arses out of Tibet.

That would be a fcuking legacy all right!

The Olympics looked the same as any other Olympics to me. Fine job China.

Big fancy buildings it has no use for. And a bunch of people wandering around who used to live there.
