What are the Yahoo Answers staff REALLY doing when they say they are "taking a breather" or "coffee break"?

I am still soo laughing at your question(s) too funny, guys in polyester blue suits, etc..lmao pink bow ties.

I also do wonder what the folks at that office (?) do while reading and tossing questions. It amazes me, the obvious rediculous ones, ie: could I be preggers? to ones that have absolutely no logical response (since we all don't come here with a belly full of 90proof) to the ones that make me scratch my head and ask.."how did that question actually get through the yahoo filters of repulsive or totally sexual/offensive questions?

It's my assumption that due to the incredible high volume..some things slide and others do not.go figure..

Either way, it's a crap shoot..your question is gonna be tossed for asking, or mine for chatting...lol...such is life.

I sometimes wonder whether they are drinking coffee or if it might be the spiced version called Pharisee. Just in case you know Pharisees only from the bible, let me tell you the story behind the name...

One day a couple of German farmers were playing cards with their priest and they also drank rum, quite a lot of it. The priest didn't like that at all, so on sunday he condemned them in church for drinking heavily - right in front of their wifes. The farmers didn't want to quit playing cards with their priest, but they also didn't want to quit drinking rum, so the next time they met, coffee cups were put on the table. The priest got nice strong coffee with a topping of whipped cream, but the farmers had put a heavy shot of rum into their own cups before they added the coffee and cream. Everything was okay, until the priest accidentally grabbed the wrong cup and found out what was going on! That's when he called the farmers Pharisees, and thus a name was created for an actually pretty good tasting drink, especially when it's cold outside...:-)
