Am I the only one who enjoys both Winter & Summer Olympics?

It seems on here everyone keeps talking about Summer 2008 in Beijing and then Summer 2012 London. Hardly anyone mentions the Winter Olympics coming in 2010 in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Am I the only one who watches both Winter & Summer Olympics with equal enjoyment and excitement? Why are Winter Olympics never mentioned?

Just curious.

Update:

I absolutely plan to go to some events in Vancouver. My place to stay is confirmed, now just gotta wait for event tickets to go on sale. I can't wait!

And, I did know you could go bobsled in Lake Placid, but I have never done it.

Nope... you are not alone. I am really looking forward to 2010 and bundling up for the Winter Olympics.

There are a whole range of different skills and sports to admire. I find it absolutely amazing and the two years between now and then seem like a long time!

Ah well, roll on Vancouver. I;ll no doubt see you there;-)

No the same people don't play in both. Those who train for the summer athletics events definitely aren't the same guys who train for speed skating. Summer Olympics are generally much more popular than winter Olympics are. The Ancient Greek Olympics mostly dealt with the athletics events we see today, which is why the Summer Olympics are generally considered more representative of raw talent and more traditional. So generally, more people worldwide care about the Summer Olympics than the Winter Olympics.

No, I enjoy both, I think the reason everyone is only talking about the next summer olympics at the moment is because we are watching the current summer olympics, once the summer olympics are over I am sure everyone will start to concentrate on the vintner Olympics, I can't wait! I love the Olympics.

The Winter Olympics are a blast! Did you know that you can go bobsledding in Lake Placid, Salt Lake, and Calgary by paying an admissions fee?

I really enjoy the winter olympics more than summer ...not sure why but I really like watching the women's skiing competition since I was very young. I am American but I do not support the American ski team as my favorite but i guess that is my choice as a viewer.Of course if they win I am proud of them but you know.. I have this thing for German women.

Hi. No you are not. I also enjoy watching them. Although here in Africa the winter olympics games don't get that much coverage as the Summer Olympic games...

I believe US had a bad taste in Torino. It was never a hit in the US as American Idol wins it. Now that Vancouver wins it; the time zone is similar in the West coast and I hope it is a hit as I can see Canadians did a fine job on the venues.
