Can anyone translate a bit of Sanskrit?
I'm not certain that it's Sanskrit.

Not Sanskrit. Probably Nepali, inasmuch as it doesn't work in Hindi. Could be Marathi, I guess. It reads something like:
hecaa.m duhakhaa.m gr[?]aghatta.m.
The middle ligature could be a miswriting of du.hkha, the Skt word for suffering. But you can never have a k and an h together in sanskrit. Its not even possible to write in transliteration--the above actually would give you a different letter because there is a k and a kh.
Also, the first ligature could also be something like hyeaam, and there are no possible double vowels in Sanskrit.
This looks like its probably something that someone mistyped.
