How many people actually knew there was a lock on the sides of the plastic wrap container to hold it in place?

I stumbled upon this when I was trying to get the package open. There are little tabs on each side that say " Push to lock roll in place." How interesting, since I've been fighting with the tube of wrap and ending up with squished together pieces for about 20 years now! I checked the foil package and it says the same thing. Has this been there all along or is it something new? I was just wondering if anyone else happened to notice this. Since I've pushed in the tabs it's been smooth and straight sheets!

Update:

Wow. So, the tabs have been there a while? Hummm....Well who would have thought to look? Wonder why they don't just lock it in before they sell it to us??

Glad I could pass along my findings. How much easier wrapping things up would be if everyone knew this little "secret"...LOL..

checking out questions to answer! No, I never knew there

were locks on the box sides, which may explain why I

    bits on the side! Thanks!

You learn something new everyday! and, so did I !
