What is the worst city to be a sports fan in?

What do you think? Do you agree with this atricle:

http://sports.yahoo.com/top/news?slug=ys-forbesbad...

The article bases it's calculations on ticket pricing and winning percentage....tough to argue with, right?

I could see an argument if you're ONLY a Giants fan and not a Jets fan or ONLY a Hockey fan and not a football fan, etc. But I think I agree with the article.

Any thoughts?

Update:

I completely agree with you. I was surprised to see NY too, but then I thought about the Mets and the Jets the past few years. Neither have done anything in a lot of years. And then I thought about the Giants and they were a 500 team for the past few years. Last year's super bowl run was very out of character. So I stick with agreeing with the article. The tickets are the most expensive and they don't give you too much to cheer about in Basketball or Hockey these days. So unless your a Yanks fan, you're kinda stuck paying a lot of money for mediocre teams.

Also, good point about the cites. I assumed it was cities with a major sport. But what about those cities without any real major cities around them. I mean, if I were from the middle of Montana, who would I route for in any sport?

I think it is a very "numbers" article... why does it not include cities that DON'T have a top tier professional sports team... what about a city like Fayetteville, Arkansas where all they have is College... or a city like Barrow, Alaska, where all they have is... ... semi-pro hockey?

i agree with the aritcle. it must suck to be a miami fan these days. but i think new york giants and yankees are very successful so they shouldn't be in the top 5 worst.
