can i fined my windows product key code in the registry?

    No. It's with the disk Windows came on. If you didn't get a disk you don't have a version that you have rights to the key code for.

    I'm sure your computer (the actual box) has a sticker that looks like a shiny blue rectangle and says WINDOWS XP (or VISTA) PRODUCT KEY followed by it. Look around.

    Yes; open regedit and go to...

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\

    SOFTWARE\

    Microsoft\

    Windows\

    CurrentVersion

    The number is listed under ProductId

    DO NOT TOUCH OR BREATHE ON THE NUMBER!!! YOU'LL BE SCREWED.
