Many time cricket matches wash out because of rain. Cant we play it in 'Indoor Stadiums'?

Australia have played some ODI's indoors. But it is supposed to be an outdoor game, after all. Perhaps players shouldn't be so soft, and play in the rain. It would make it more interesting.

This makes me mad too. Although we have one good indoor arena in Australia, it is too hard to move every rain effected match there simply because of distance issues.Australia isn't known as the 'wide brown land' for nothing! There are 3-4 different time zones in our country and I guess other countries have the same problem. It would be an ideal world if that was possible. Maybe countries should look at having indoor stadiums in every major city just for this purpose?

Cricket grounds with closed roofs already exist. Docklands Stadium in Australia has played host to a number of international cricket matches

For that every stadium should have a roof, that could be folded or slid/moved, so that in case of rain we could use them. Or at least a few stadiums in a country should be developed in that way, so that in adverse & inclement climatic conditions matches could be scheduled in those stadiums only.

If I ever had a chance to play for my country then it would be either at Lord's or MCG as they are the two main homes of cricket and have dedicated communities who come out in support during international matches. Scoring a century would be the greatest honour as my name would be scribed on the world famous honours board in the long room at Lords.
