It depends. If you dropped the class before the dropp w/refund deadline, then you'll be refunded for it. It is possible that they will send that money to you, and you would be responsible for taking that money and giving it back to the school though. Also - if dropping that class put you in a different enrollment status, the amount awarded would change as well.

For example .. I was taking two classes in the Spring, it was 5 credit hours total. I dropped one of the classes (2 credit hours) and that put me in a different enrollment status. I ended up not only having to pay back for that class, but also for the difference in the amounts awarded based on the enrollment status. (I had to pay $539 before I could get any more money and before I could register for the summer term!!!)

Definitely check with your financial aid office so that you can get all of that information. Also - there is a limit on how many times you can drop classes while on the pell grant. After so many times, you are required to pay for a class (books and all) out of pocket and pass the class before you are eligible for another Pell Grant.

I had a similar situation before with college. When I dropped, apparently I was held accountable for that money. So who knows.

it should be refunded but they usually give you a span of time that you must drop the class by in order to reimburse
