how come i look ugly in pictures?

I know some people are on here saying your not photogenic and that's probably true. photogenic meaning you don't take pics well, but not everybody does, just because u take a pic badly doesn't mean u look that way in real life. see pictures see the only thing that is shown in front of it, but it doesn't get the back side, or the other half of the face etc.... pics dint mean anything. how you look in pictures does not portray how u look in real life. wait some people think celebs are ugly like jennifer annisten or jessica simpson, there gorgeous, but i know people who are disgusted by them. some people say cassie is ugly but she;s beautiful, is somebody told ur friend that she told u that your ugly then that's there opinion everybody has an opinion and i agree with some of your answers that some of them could be jealous, so never think that and hold your self up high

Well, the obvious answer is that in the pictures you like you are smiling and posing ~ but in the pictures you don't like you aren't. A picture is just an image ~ not everyone is going to be perfect 100% of the time. Everyone makes a bad face once in awhile & unfortunately the camera can sometimes catch it. You are a very pretty girl and have a classic beauty about you. That is apparent even in your "nasty" pictures. (Which aren't bad at all, by the way)

I have the same problem... I put my pics on hot or not and I'm always a 7 or 8 but in RL I'm at least a 9 (with make up on lol) I'm sure your a pretty girl and this chick is just jealous. Try taking a lot of pics of yourself for practice.

2. I think a lot of people feel that they look a lot worse in pictures than in real life. I know that I feel the exact same way. Even from professional photographers when I was a model I would HATE looking at myself in those photos. I also hate videos of myself. I'm sure you're pretty, but we all see things we could improve when wee see our face and body in a 3rd person perspective.

Don't let people talking get to you. Honestly if they're talking smack and other people say you're pretty they're probably just jealous b*****s.

Im sure you're very pretty! That girl was porably jealous, and everyoen has different opinions.

As for your photos, its all about how the picture was taking and who took it. It could all just be the lighting. If you ever need help on editing your photos though, im pretty could and can do it for free! Ive used photoshop for several years, just email me.

Some people just don't take good photos. It doesn't mean you are ugly or some kind of a monster. I for one can take an awesome photograph, but in real life I don't come across as attractive, go figure!

Some people are more photogenic and look better in pictures, but I always think people are much prettier in person.

It means people can be cruel, and not that you aren't pretty.

Those pics don't look at all ugly to me. If you are prettier in person you must be a real knockout.
