How do you stop your computer from having the blue screen?

A blue screen will show up on the computer and then the computer reboots itself and then it will say you system has recovered from a serious error. How do you find out what causes this to happen and How do you keep it from happening again?

This is usually a error caused by damaged or corrupted system files. if your running XP, than the esiest thing to do is this:

    1. insert the Windows XP cd and restart your system.

    2. if the cd drive is set to boot before the hard drive, than you should see a screen telling you to press any key to boot from disk. please do.

    3. after it is done booting from disk, hit R to enter the repair console.

    4. select your drive(usually by entering the number 1)and then hit enter.

5.it will ask for a password, if you know it, type it in and hit enter.

6.then type in the command: fixboot

    7. this will write over your boot files and leave everything else intact.

note. if this doesn't work than your safest option is to reinstall the OS. e-mail me if you need to. jared_reilly@yahoo.com

Could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software. This problem can be solved by uninstalling new softwares, updating device drivers and making minor configuration changes . From http://fixit.in/bluescreenofdeath.html . You can also run a free registry scan using utilities from http://re7.info/
