I have severe pain in my foot?
The top of my foot hurts so bad I can barely walk. I don't think I broke anything and the Doctor can't see me until next week? Any suggestions for pain?

The SAME thing happened to me! I Still don't know what it is! Mine started in January & has been on/off (mostly ON) for months! Hot soak, then wrapping with an Ace bandage helped a little. Muscle rub, Ben Gay or Absorbine Jr brot a little relief. Pain pills helped too. But all these things can affect your ability to function normally.
My doctor asked if I had new shoes & i HAD gotten a new pair of slippers for Xmas last year so she said switch around & quit them. I did, but the pain remained--comes & goes. Worse in the morning, but it does hurt some every time I get up to walk. The pain after all these months has moved around a little, & even shown up a bit in the other foot, but remains in the UPPER regions of my foot only.
I feel like a ninny for complaining so haven't been back to the doctor. I'm thinking Fibromyalgia in my case because I have frequent pain in other parts of my body from neck to feet.
Anyway, could it be new shoes for you? Or wearing the same style of shoe that bears down on that part of your foot a lot? More walking that usual? Have you gained weight?
Good luck!

Until you see your doctor you can try doing a little exercises before you stand.
raise your leg of the floor, point your foot as though standing on tip toes then rotate the foot to point your toes at each time on an imaginary clock face. Do this three times clockwise and the same the other way. See if it helps.
Meanwhile if the excersises don't help it may help your doctor to know that.

Go to the doctor!!! You should not have to deal with the pain. A couple years ago, I had a similar problem and it turned out to be a bone spur
